About the organisers
Frank van Bommel, the manager of the TAIM project, says: "In many conversations with internationals and talents, we noticed that, even in a city as open as Brno, many internationals feel isolated and people still need a space to talk, listen, and feel part of something bigger. meet jako brno, inspired by the Velvet Innovation Meetups, became that space."

The event is organised thanks to the support of the City of Brno and the South Moravian Region.
meet jako brno is a joint project of the Brno Expat Centre and the Centre for Foreigners JMK - the two organisations in Brno looking after the city's internationals.

The idea was born as a part of the TAIM project (Talent Attraction and Integration Management).
TAIM is a 2-year project financed by the City of Brno and the South Moravia region that aims to make the region more accessible and attractive for international talent by removing barriers and improving cooperation and communication between organisations.
